    About Esterlyn:

Hailing from Boise, ID, Esterlyn brings a fresh artistic sound to modern worship. Playing over 200 concert dates this past year alone, this talented four-piece band, led by frontman Luke Caldwell, has been building their fan base for several years, primarily within the Calvary Chapel system where Caldwell was a youth pastor for four years. The band started by releasing their debut independent album “Lamps” in early 2008, featuring the single “We All Need”. Over the past two years they toured with bands like Kutless, Fireflight & Disciple. At their core Esterlyn is passionate about worshiping the Lord and bringing others into His presence. “Our desire is to worship the King. There Is no one like Him and He deserves all our praise and adoration!” Esterlyn recorded an acoustic worship EP entitled “Mending the Meaning” in early 2009, which hit top 10 albums on iTunes Christian. The band recently signed with VSR Music Group EMI and is currently in the studio recording their debut album on a major label which will be releasing this July.

    About Ember Days:

Formed in 2006 and spearheaded by Jason and Janell Belcher, The Ember Days began as an attempt to explore worship music in its fullest sense – passion and devotion, spoken through their widespread musical influences to a new generation of worshipers. Their debut album “Your Eyes Light Up” was captivating in it’s emotional movements, seamlessly weaving the heavy with the ambient, the driving and the melodic, their eyes and hearts directed upwards throughout.

For The Ember Days, the mission is simple; “We are five people that passionately love God, we love people, we want to speak the truth and see the body of Christ united. We play songs that reflect that and we try to bring the presence of God to anyone who listens” – a sentiment that has echoed with many, garnering them a large following of like-minded worshipers and seeing the band play at festivals such as NZ’s Parachute Festival, Cornerstone Festival (U.S) and Spirit West Coast ‘08 (U.S). In New Zealand, the band has toured extensively with fellow patriots Mumsdollar, Arms Reach and All Left Out. Last year the band toured the U.S extensively with Tooth & Nail’s Showbread and The Glorious Unseen. On the back of their rigorous touring “Your Eyes Light Up” earned a New Zealand Music Award nomination for best Christian album.

    Haiti

    January 19th, 2010

It truly has been horrible to see all that has been going on in Haiti. Sometimes it is hard to understand why things happen. I remember years ago when that great earthquake hit Gujarat, India my dad and I went over to help amidst all of the destruction. It was horrible to walk around the city and literally smell the destruction and the death of tens of thousands of people. Your heart just hurts because even being there you feel so hopeless. We gave food and water to those in need and tried our best to help people find a safe place of shelter, but what more can you do? One of the most amazing things about being a christian is truly knowing that God does work all things together for good! A dear indian brother Pastor D. Edison’s heart was moved for the people of Gujarat and God started a great work in that area that is still alive and seeing many lives changed through showing God’s love in a practical way. We truly have an amazing opportunity to show God’s love to the people of Haiti. I encourage you to help.

    Love you
    Luke
